New publication
Biomedicine in the Twentieth Century

The Office of NIH History announces the publication of a book presenting new scholarship on the history of the NIH and the history of biomedicine, and honoring the career and accomplishments of the Office’s founding director, Dr. Victoria A. Harden. Biomedicine in the Twentieth Century: Practices, Policies, and Politics, edited by Caroline Hannaway, is a collection of essays by leading scholars in the field and includes a short account of Dr. Harden’s contribution in building the Office of NIH History.
